With a new single being released from their upcoming EP, Fresco Kyoto was in need of artwork that captured the full essence of their single, "Inkman (Not Waking Up)". The song evokes deep, isolated feelings that are represented in the artwork through monotone colors and a rustic, hand drawn style.

I wanted to create artwork that was versatile. The artwork contains enough detail so that when it is printed at large scale (vinyl records and CDs), the artwork doesn't appear flat. Because most of Fresco Kyoto's audience consumes the music via online streaming services (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.), I also needed to ensure that the basic elements of the artwork were still legible on phone/computer screens.
